NEW JERSEY – The New Jersey State Council of Machinists (NJSCM) proudly announced their endorsement of Congressman Rob Menendez for re-election to serve their members and all residents of New Jersey’s Eighth Congressional District.
“Because Congressman Rob Menendez has supported labor and workers’ rights steadfastly throughout his tenure in public service, it is my honor to endorse his re-election to Congress on behalf of the New Jersey State Council of Machinists (NJSCM), IAMAW, and the members we represent through the State,” said Cristino Vilorio, President of the NJSCM.
“I am honored to be supported by so many of our unionized friends, including the dedicated members of The New Jersey State Council of Machinists,” said Congressman Rob Menendez. “I will always fight for organized labor – by introducing comprehensive bills like the Working Families Task Force Act and the Parental Workforce Training Act; supporting crucial legislation like the PRO Act; and consistently advocating for good wages, workplace protections, and so much more. We are proud to continue to affirm our strong record as pro-union champions and we will win this election – together.”
NJSCM, part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, represents more than 20,000 Machinists Union members who work to bargain for increased job security, higher wages, and improved benefits. Members work in industries such as aerospace, transportation, the federal government, automotive, defense, and woodworking, among others.
