WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the National Organization for Women Political Action Committee (NOW PAC) endorsed Congressman Rob Menendez for re-election to serve New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District.
“The National Organization for Women is proud to endorse Rob Menendez who has been a continual champion of the ERA,” said NOW PAC Treasurer Bear Atwood. “His efforts to push for access to reproductive healthcare, affordable housing, and childcare are the work we need to ensure the future for women.”
“I am proud to be supported by NOW PAC for re-election,” said Congressman Rob Menendez. “And as a proud member of the Pro-Choice Caucus, I’ve cosponsored numerous major reproductive bills like the Right to Contraception Act and the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe and restore a woman’s fundamental right over her own body. I also cosponsored Rep. Maxine Waters’ Housing Crisis Response Act and the Ending Homelessness Act – the most aggressive plan to tackle housing affordability. And we work to make childcare affordable by introducing legislation like the Working Families Task Force, and supporting bills like the Child Care Stabilization Act and the Child Care for Every Community Act. I will always serve as a champion for women and we will continue the good fight until true equality is achieved for all, regardless of gender.”
Since 1977, NOW PAC has worked to elect more uncompromising feminists to the White House and Congress. NOW PAC’s aggressive grassroots organizing and early support for feminist candidates have been changing the faces of those elected to federal office.
