JERSEY CITY, NJ – Today, the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EAS Carpenters) endorsed Congressman Rob Menendez for re-election in 2024 after having first supported him in 2022. The EAS Carpenters represents close to 43,000 members across six states including New Jersey.
“Rob has been a great friend to Union Carpenters and Labor in general since he took office earlier this year,” said William C. Sproule, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the EAS Carpenters. “He has shown his commitment to supporting New Jersey union workers and working families through his first introduced bill, the Working Families Task Force Act. Whether it is supporting workplace protections, fair wages, or strong retirement benefits for our members, Rob has always been there for us and we will be there for him in 2024 when he is re-elected to Congress.”

The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters represents close to 43,000 of the most skilled carpenters who live and work in Delaware, The District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The Council is made up of 25 Local unions across their territory, operate 17 state-of-the-art training facilities including three in the State of New Jersey, and are part of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. EAS Carpenters are trained in many different trades, including: commercial/residential carpentry; heavy highway; piledriving; floor-layering; mill cabinet work; millwright; and tradeshow construction.
