Rob Menendez has been endorsed by the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey (PFANJ), and its national organization, the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF).
“In the halls of Congress, Rob will be a friend and advocate for the firefighters, emergency medical, and allied support services personnel of the 8th District and of our entire state,” said Steve McConlogue, President of the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey. “In our meetings with Rob, he has made clear that he is an ally of organized labor and that he will fight for firefighters and first responders every single day. We are proud to endorse him, and look forward to working with him when he is elected.”
“I am very grateful for the endorsement of our firefighters, EMS workers, and support staff that serve our 8th District communities selflessly, often putting their own lives at risk to save others,” said Rob Menendez. “In Congress, I will always champion efforts to secure funding, equipment, health protections, and more to support members of the PFANJ. These courageous men and women deserve our support, and they will always have mine.”
The PFANJ represents approximately 3500 professional firefighters, EMTs, and dispatchers in New Jersey. There are 65 PFANJ locals in New Jersey.
The IAFF represents 330,000 firefighters, EMS professionals, and support staff nationwide, accounting for over 85% of professional firefighters and fire-based paramedics across the nation.
