HAMILTON – AFSCME New Jersey Council 63 today announced their endorsement of Rob Menendez for Congress, in New Jersey’s Eighth District.
“Rob Menendez is a bright, young voice for working families in the Eighth District,” said Executive Director Steve Tully. “Rob has shown that he understands the critical role that public employees play in our municipalities, counties, and our state. In Washington, he will fight for our rights to protect the men and women that work tirelessly everyday to provide essential services to the public. We wholeheartedly endorse Rob and his work to strengthen families in our state.”
“Growing up in a family of public servants has shown me firsthand the dedication and hard work that government employees exhibit every single day,” said Rob Menendez. “I am honored to accept AFSCME’s endorsement of our campaign and our values. Strengthening families is at the core of our campaign and unions like AFSCME are critical to this mission. In Congress, I will fight every day for organized labor, because unions have been the path to success and financial security for so many in our district and our state.”
